Gentle Rain's Masking Madness

Dianne Fleischauer | Gadshill Resident | Feb 20, 2022

An open letter from Dianne Fleischauer after being harassed for not wearing a face diaper at Stratford's Gentle Rain (AKA Stalin's Reign)...

Dear Gentle Rain,

Although I made a delicious supper from my Gentle Rain shopping cart, my chest hurt from the covid confusion I witnessed at your store on Thursday, February 17th, 2022, around 5 p.m. The attempt to shame, and the subsequent punishing of myself and another shopper, come from blind obedience training and ignorance.

I hadn't shopped at the Gentle Rain in two years—the "gentle" organic store—because I've heard many rumours of the fear-driven need to control the shoppers. Looks like I learned first-hand of the lack of proper risk assessment study of masks and the ignorance of the law. Anyone who "forces" another person to wear a mask is culpable of a violation of the law. Just because Justin Trudeau is breaking the law doesn't mean you should blindly copy cat him.

Do not ever ask me or anyone to put a mask on.

I am publicly circulating this letter on Facebook and email because, if you aren't too ashamed to do it, I'm not too ashamed to tell it. This now becomes a written document of evidence with quite a few witnesses.

And take down your signs. The mask is an obedience training device and you're not going to die or kill anyone. A lightning bolt is not going to come out of the sky and strike you dead for discontinuing the nonsensical mask ritual.

Group energy is the lowest form of human consciousness. It rarely, if ever apologizes. Somehow, it feels justified in its actions.

We are moving from the "head" (group dogma, controlling others) to the "heart" ( individual, empathy, compassion, acceptance of diversity). There is always a "travail" in any death and any birthing.

Smiles are contagious! Everywhere! (Not just in Ottawa!)

Sincerely,
Dianne Fleischauer

Please share her letter! Refuse the mask at Gentle Rain and take your business to decent grocers, who aren't afraid of human exhalations, like Pfenning's Organic & More or Organic Oasis.
